The Content Life – Beloved Women – December 3, 2018

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
I've found it to be true for many people that most of the frustration in our lives stems from wanting something we don't have or desiring to be somewhere we are not. The reality is, no one, and I mean no one ever experiences a life where they receive absolutely everything they want and desire. The challenge comes when we have to figure out how to navigate through seasons and circumstances that we don't desire or never planned for our lives. Maybe for you, it's a job you hate, a season of financial or physical strain, relationship drama, or a failed project or plan.
The Apostle Paul speaks to this very subject when he says:
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:12-13 NIV
In this life, nothing ever stays the same or always goes as planned. This may be why Paul reminds us that with Christ, we can handle life when it goes our way and when it doesn't.
PRAY
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for the correct perspective to live a content life. I thank You for all that You have done for me. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray Amen.
