Are You Trusting God’s Plans? – Beloved Women - February 22, 2019
READ
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
I am a planner. I like to make shopping lists, packing lists, and to-do lists. Writing things down helps me remember what I need to do or to get. I feel lost without my lists. In today's verse, God declares He has plans for my life. Wait, I don't have those plans on any of my lists. How will I fit in His plans? Do I need to shuffle everything around? What about my plans?
Maybe we need to learn to stop, drop and roll when it comes to planning our lives. We need to stop stressing over the plans for the day. We need to learn to drop everything and wait for the Lord to show us the right plans. And, we need to learn to roll with God's ways. God's purposes will always be better than our own.
PRAY
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me in spite of all my faults. Thank You for reassuring me that Your ways are so much better than my own. Please teach me to look for Your ways and trust You for the outcome. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
REFLECT
Have you trusted God to give up your plan and take up His?
