Trusting God’s Care for You - Beloved Women – March 19, 2019

READ

Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Matthew 6:26-27 NLT

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

As my brother struggled to live with scleroderma, he took great comfort in today’s scripture. At his funeral, my younger sister eulogized him by mentioning that he lived like the birds. My brother could live like the birds, though his body had deteriorated over time. He would look up as the birds flew across the sky and see the great care they received from above and knew that this same care was available to him. In his failing body, he knew his value. Being anxious did not reverse his symptoms, but his trust in God provided a peace and reassurance that God cared. As you think about your struggles today remember how God so tenderly cares about even the birds of the air. How much more will he care for you?

PRAY

Dear Lord, help me to remember that You are taking care of me regardless of my circumstances.

I ask that You help me to remember your loving care in good times and in bad times. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

REFLECT

How is God’s care evident in your life?
