Contagious Kindness - Beloved Women - March 11, 2024
READ: “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” (Hebrews 10:24 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: At a popular fast food chain restaurant in Canada, a customer paid for the order of the person behind her. That person paid for the person behind her. In the end, a chain of 226 people paid for the order of the person behind them. The first person’s actions provoked and stirred up a kind action in 225 people that day. We usually aren’t able to see the far-reaching impact of our acts of kindness but rest assured, they have an impact.
1 John 4:19 shows us how this concept has already applied to us. The Scripture says that we love because He (God) first loved us. When we truly grasp what Jesus has done for us, we can’t help but be provoked to love as well. In fact, Jesus said that love is the very hallmark of his Church. So let’s create an epidemic of love so contagious that others can’t help but to catch it.
PRAY: Father God, thank You for Your loving-kindness. I ask that You show me how to love like You so that I can point others to the One who is Love. In Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
REFLECT: What are some ways that you can show love today to your loved ones, to strangers, and to your enemies?
