Lifter of my Head – Beloved Women – November 15, 2019

“But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.” - Psalm 3:3 (ESV)

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

It’s so easy to walk around with our heads held down because there is so much going on in this world. With so many things out of our control,  I am learning to look to God as the lifter of my head.

I imagine when God sees us with our heads held down seeking to go unseen and unnoticed, He desires to come and place His hand under our chin, and lift our heads up so that we can look to Him as our shield and our glory.

To walk with your head lifted is a sign of confidence, and I believe our Father wants to see us confident in every situation, knowing that He has placed us there and will equip us for the call.

PRAY

Father, You are my help and my shield. I thank You for lifting my head even on the days where I’d rather keep it down. Thanks for always showing me the beauty even in trials. I ask that You help me to look to You - every day and in every way. Help me to see myself through Your eyes and know that even through the hard times, You have already worked it out. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
