Faith Walking – Beloved Women – November 11, 2024
READ: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: During the missionary journey of Jesus to share the Gospel, He met many people. There was however, one thing that would stop Him in His tracks and impressed Him. That one thing was faith.
- When a sinful woman anoints Jesus’ feet, He says “Your faith has saved you; go in peace” (Luke 7:50 ESV)
- When a woman with an issue of blood, pushed through crowds to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment to be healed, He said this to her: “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.” (Luke 8:48 ESV)
- When a mother believed in the healing power of Jesus for her child, although she was a Gentile, Jesus said: “O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” (Matthew 15:28 ESV)
Jesus wasn’t impressed with fame and fortune. The only thing that impressed Him was faith, because holding on to faith is not an easy thing to do, but it is what will ignite the power of God in our lives, to see beyond our circumstances. Once we can see beyond our challenges with faith, we can live beyond them. Then we don’t have to fall victim to what happens to us, but instead, can live victoriously in what God has already done for us on the cross.
PRAY: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for always providing and taking care of me. Help me to hold on to my faith in You, even when it looks like I shouldn’t. You are worthy of my faith. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
REFLECT: What helps you to hold on to your faith in God even when you feel like letting go?
