Total Victory – Beloved Women – October 31, 2024
READ: “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: The other morning, I was working on my back yard and I was doing fine until I came across a roadblock. I knew it was a rock because they are all in my yard. I was not expecting to pull out two huge rocks. They were so embedded in the ground and it became a blockage for me. I had to use a shovel to dig around them just to get them out.
I was getting ready to patch up the hole so it would be level and noticed another rock. I pulled out some baby rocks along with two more big rocks, which made the hole even bigger. After that, I did not have the energy, nor the strength to even continue.
That is what we sometimes experience when we go through trauma, heartache, and pain. Those things can become roadblocks or hindrances in our life that can cause our lives to be delayed. Delays are not always from the enemy or even from God. Sometimes we are our greatest enemy. We can be the very cause of our delay.
The healing process can take years, and if we don’t continue the process, in our need for a quick fix, we will turn to other things or other people to self-medicate the pain, which makes the hole even deeper. There is a void that only God can heal. God can do the impossible in our lives, if we would allow Him to have full control.
PRAY: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for continuing to work on what is on the inside of me. I humble myself that I am honest enough with where I am, so that You can completely heal me from anything that is still lingering from the past. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
REFLECT: What are places in your life where you need to be healed? What are you willing to do to walk in total victory?
