What She Said! Part 2: What Does a Sponge Have to Do with Forgiveness?

TODAY’S TREASURE
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:5-6
Dear Friends,
I hope you have been as encouraged as I am during our What She Said! devotional series. Each writer brings a different style but the same truths. Sometimes we need to hear the “old, old story” told in a way that grabs our hearts, speaks to us right where we are and I’m trusting the Lord is pouring His truth through Daily Treasure as a way of touching unique needs in each reader. I’d love to hear how He is turning your heart toward Jesus through these truths!
This week, Nan Doud joins us as our Guest Writer. I met Nan through her blog and I knew our Daily Treasure community would enjoy hearing from her. Nan reminds us that our God sees and pursues His children, that sometimes we are standing on what we believe are promises only to be disappointed because in fact, they are desires and preferences. She reminds us of the importance of community and uses a sponge to demonstrate forgiveness. You’re going to enjoy getting to know Nan and her perspective on living life in the mundane moments.
Thank you to the many who have told me how much this devotional means to you. Your encouragement is what keeps me writing and pulling together guest writers whose hearts for Jesus shape their writing. When a particular devotional hits you in a special way please share it on social media – we’ve made it easy for you to click and share – add a comment about why you appreciate what you have read.
Treasured by Him,
Sharon
LIFE-GIVING ENCOURAGEMENT
Nan’s example of the sponge and forgiveness has captured my imagination. Start praying now for the Lord to prepare you for her message on forgiveness. When you attend church today, ask the Lord to lead you to someone who needs an extra hug or word of encouragement.
