What She Said! Part 2

By Sharon W. Betters

TODAY’S TREASURE

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. -2 Corinthians 12:9

Dear Friends,

I’m so excited to bring you a second series of What She Said! Your response to the summer series encouraged me to recruit six more guest writers. Each one brings a different style and personality but the same passion for offering help and hope through the truth of Scripture. This week our guest writer is Holly Mackle. You may know Holly through the website Engaging Motherhood or the book, Same Here, Sisterfriend, Mostly True Tales of Misadventures of Motherhood. Your family may have enjoyed reading her Advent devotional, Little Hearts, Prepare Him Room. In this week’s devotionals, reprinted with permission from Holly’s book Engaging Motherhood, Heart Preparation for a Holy Calling, Holly transparently touches the nerves of every woman, mother of littles or not.

Holly uses humor, real-life stories, and Scripture to address worry, control, disengagement, fear, and God’s mercy.

You’re going to love walking with Holly this week! I guarantee it!

Treasured by Him,

Sharon

LIFE-GIVING ENCOURAGEMENT

Pray for your pastor before you arrive at church. Pray for his family, especially his wife and children, that each one will experience joy and peace as they walk into the church building. Ask the Lord to give them truth from His Word and encouragement from their church family this morning.
