TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
Jaime Wyrtzen Lauze´

But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe her. Mark 16:11 (ESV)

Has God ever come through for you, but you found yourself just not believing? Did you know that that can be a huge roadblock keeping you from a deliverance in your life?

After Jesus’ crucifixion, His followers experienced such grief. The very man they saw raise Lazarus from the dead and many others, the very man who made the blind to see, the very man who saw into their hearts and accepted them died the most gruesome death imaginable. This led them to a crisis of faith. Were they imagining things? Was what they saw and experienced real?

Have you been there? There are times when we feel God draw near. We feel Him. We hear Him. We see Him. But there are times when we just don’t feel His closeness. Imagine what Mary Magdalene felt as she approached Jesus’ tomb that Sunday morning. Mark 16 specifically says that it was the Mary Magdalene from whom Jesus cast out seven demons. When Jesus appeared to Mary, she believed. She then told the disciples and they did not believe. Jesus rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart. The power of God wouldn’t be theirs until they believed.

Could Jesus come back from death be too good to be true? Do you wonder that yourself. Maybe you’ve lived a life of disappointment. You set your heart up for disaster every time something good is on the horizon. Let me tell you this. Jesus is not a disappointment. He came back to life. That very power that brought Him out of the grave can awaken your own heart. Please let Him bring you back to life.
