Entrée:
Have you ever had one of those days when it seems like no one appreciates anything you have done? They couldn’t find their favorite shirt or didn’t like the meal you made? Nobody noticed the clean folded clothes in their drawer or the bowl of fresh fruit on the table and all you heard all day were complaints? The boss screamed at you and you came home to a complete mess and hungry mouths waiting for dinner?
I know I’ve had days like this. It helps me to remember who the boss is and what I am working to accomplish.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45
We as women do so much for others, but the truth is that all that we do, we do to honor the Father and to bring Him glory. Even when others seem not to appreciate what we have done, the Father knows our hearts and our minds and all that we have done in His name and He will reward us in His time.
All hard work brings a profit. Proverbs 14:23
By serving others we are not only glorifying God, but we are honoring our loved ones by showing them the love of Christ and being an example to them just as Christ was an example to us. Share with us the ways in which you honor or serve your family at home.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that Your Word tells us that if we lack wisdom, we should ask You and it will be given to us. Help us to be wise women who build our homes strong and steadfast, and help us to not be foolish and tear down our home by making poor choices. It is in Your Son’s name that we pray, Amen.
