God is a God of Connectedness - Warrior Mom Wisdom - Week of May 23

Warrior Mom Wisdom Devotional

God is a God of Connectedness

God is multifaceted. He is always doing more than one thing. When I think of the effects of one action of faith, I see a visual. I see a rock being thrown out into a pond. The circles of ripples that are created are many. When I think about how one obedient action done in faith, causes countless answered prayers to be answered, I am humbled.

The previously shared devotional is an example. I do not have time to record the many blessings that followed the needs of mine that were met. But, I will tell you that God met my needs, and because those needs were met within me, God used those instances to assign me to meet the needs of others. The most glorious result is that my 85-year-old grandmother received Christ! I’ve lost count of the other blessings that have resulted from that one act of obedience (going to my friend in need). They continue to occur by the way. The ripples that began, have multiplied in countless ways. God works in a multi-faceted rippling way.

So, please, when you are nudged to act obediently in faith, please for the sake of countless others (as well as for the sake of your own unknown, unmet needs that are waiting to be met by the action of your faith), respond in obedience. But I advise you to get your journal and your faith-seatbelt out. The connections that you experience through the Holy Hand of God will humble you in joyous ways, and you won’t even be able to contain it. The ultimate example of the rippling effects of obedience is Christ.

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every a name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

I can see the rippling effects of every knee bowing in response to the rippling effects of the Name of Jesus.
