God Hears
By Andrea Chatelain
“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry.” Psalm 34:15
It’s easy for me to think I’m not important enough for God to listen to my worries. But Scripture proves my skeptical nature wrong. It says He hears and is attentive to my every word.
He’s attentive to you as well.
Do you feel the power in that? It gives me great comfort knowing the Lord actively listens to my prayers in my hardest moments. He’s there when marriage is rough, cares when I’m stressed about work, and is alert when I’m afraid to step out in faith. Jesus knew me in my distress, when I was depressed and ached for another baby. He saw every hurt, screw up, and betrayal, and He heard every prayer.
Looking back there’s proof He wasn’t absent or disattached.
I imagine you can say the same. Take an inventory of situations you prayed through. What glimmers of His help were there? Maybe a friend showed up with a meal, a bill was paid, or perhaps you felt an odd peace in the midst of chaos. These aren’t coincidences; they’re proof Jesus hears and acts according to our pleas.
I’m not sure what you’re facing today, but you’re not alone. Cry out confidently to God. Give Him every worry and fear knowing He hears you and will attend to your need.
