Years ago, I sat in a small Bible study group and opened up my first Beth Moore study. I had no idea the impact that her teaching and wisdom would have in my life. For weeks, I found myself freshly inspired to dive deeper into God’s Word, gleaning truths that I’d never taken the time to discover before. Now, many years later, I’m still learning, growing, pressing in to know Him more. And I’m thankful for the inspiration of this dear, godly woman.
Beth Moore was raised in Arkansas, and at the age of 18, sensed that God was calling her to work for Him. Though she could have never imagined what all that would entail, she pursued His calling with a continual “yes” through the years. Like many of you, I’m so glad she said “yes.”
In 1994, Living Proof Ministries was founded with the purpose of teaching women how to love and live on God’s Word. Beth has written many books and Bible studies since then, that have been read by women around the world. This humble and very relatable Bible teacher is widely known for communicating God’s Word with great passion, warmth, humor, and huge grace.
Beth Moore reminds us through her own life, that we all can have such amazing impact in this world, as we're simply doing what God's called us to do.
Thank you Beth Moore, and so many other godly women leaders, who have encouraged this generation onward in Christ.
30 Inspirational Quotes from Beth Moore:
“We're going to have to let truth scream louder to our souls than the lies that have infected us.”
“Satan never wastes a fiery dart on an area covered in armor.”
“When the stakes are high, bow down low.”
“Some things don't need to be cut back. They need to be cut off.”
“Only you can decide how your fires will affect you. Will you be sanctified or scarred?”
“God surpasses our dreams when we reach past our personal plans and agenda to grab the hand of Christ and walk the path he chose for us. He is obligated to keep us dissatisfied until we come to him and his plan for complete satisfaction.”
“Faith is not believing in my own unshakable belief. Faith is believing an unshakable God when everything in me trembles and quakes.”
“If God said it, I want to believe it. If God gives it, I want to receive it. If God shows it, I want to perceive it. If Satan stole it, I want to retrieve it.
“God’s specialty is raising dead things to life and making impossible things possible. You don’t have a need that exceeds His power.”
“The enemy's hope for Christians is that we will either be so ineffective we have no testimony, or we’ll ruin the one we have.”
“God will sometimes allow things to get bad enough that we will be forced to look up. Victory always begins with a cry for help. When we come to the end of ourselves and cry out for help, amazing things happen.”
“We must remember we don’t stand in victory because of our faith. We stand in victory because of our God. Faith in faith is pointless. Faith in a living, active God moves mountains.”
“God can do what He says He can do precisely because He is who He says He is. His many titles describe His ability. As Savior, He saves; as Deliverer, He delivers; as Redeemer, He redeems; as Master, He assumes authority; as Bread of Life, He provides; and as Almighty, He exerts divine strength.”
“Often when God does not readily give us what we want, it is because He knows what our desire would cost us. Faith sometimes means forgoing our desires because we trust Christ to have a better plan for our lives.”
“When you are trying to discern whether God or Satan is the author of a hardship, one of your best clues is whether sin is involved. God never entices us to sin, nor does he employ sin or perversion as a means of molding us into the image of Christ. Impossible!”
“Beloved, are you being sifted? Has God permitted the enemy to launch a full-scale attack against you? God knows what He's doing. He isn't looking the other way, and He's not being mean to you. Maybe this is the only way He can get you to attend to the old so He can do something new. Grab onto Him for dear life! Give Him full reign to remove anything in you that needs to go. Hasten the end of the process. Sift, dear one. Sift!”
“If you are not royalty, He is not King.”
“Christians have been beaten, whipped, starved, humiliated, mutilated, tortured, hung, burned at the stake, crucified, and fed to lions; yet two thousand years after a man called Jesus of Nazareth walked the streets of Jerusalem, 1,734 million people alive on this earth today call themselves by the ever-dividing, ever-uniting word: Christian. God is still scattering the seeds a few righteous renegades planted in a city called Antioch. Had they only known what they were starting.”
“If we would turn the time we spent discussing the other's life into prayer time instead, no telling what would happen to the glory of God.”
“Satan knows that the nature of humankind is to act out of how we feel rather than what we know. One of our most important defenses against satanic influence will be learning how to behave out of what we know is truth rather than what we feel.”
“We have no idea how busy God's hands are even when His mouth seems closed. Where God is concerned, silence never equals slumber.”
“We constantly fight an unseen enemy. God has assured us the victory, but He has told us to take an aggressive stand against the evil one, covering ourselves in His armor. We’re going to win, but victory is going to take blood, sweat, and tears—His blood, our sweat, and tears from us both.”
“Meanness at church sometimes exceeds anything that occurs in secular surroundings.”
“God may not always will for us to be physically healed in these earthly bodies or tangibly prosperous, but He always wills for us to be free from strongholds.”
“A person full of the Holy Spirit cannot be full of self. Pride never accompanies power in the fully yielded life.”
“Sometimes we stand to learn the most about God from the situations we understand the least.”
“If destruction fails to entangle us, distraction will do its best.”
“I know Scripture is not going to change, but I also know that I am.”
“If Jesus gives us a task or assigns us to a difficult season, every ounce of our experience is meant for our instruction and completion if only we'll let Him finish the work. I fear, however, that we are so attention-deficit that we settle for bearable when beauty is just around the corner.”
“God is who He says He is. God can do what He says He can do. I am who God says I am. I can do all things through Christ. God’s Word is alive and active in me.”
