"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night." ~ Psalm 1:1-2

Psalms to Pray for the Sick to Be Healed:

1. Psalm 34

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.” (Psalm 34:19-20 ESV)

Prayer:
Father, You will not leave me alone, for You are near. I may have affliction, but You deliver me. You are so loving and faithful. So I look to You now, Father, keep these bones. I ask for healing and give You every ounce of glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

2. Psalm 6

“Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am languishing; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are troubled.” (Psalm 6:2 ESV)

Prayer:

Lord, When I don’t deserve it, You are gracious to me. Thank You, loving Father, for Your faithfulness and compassion. My body is troubled now, though, Lord. Forgive me. Pour out your mercy. Heal me in the way that only You can. Turn my enemies back in shame. Praise be to You, God Most High. In Jesus’ name I make this request, Amen.

Psalms to Pray for Healing and Strength:

3. Psalm 16

“Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the LORD, ‘You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.’” (Psalm 16:1-2 ESV)

Prayer:
God, You are my refuge. I run to You. You are my Lord. There is no other. Preserve and strengthen me as I face this battle. You are my portion and my cup. In You, I have a beautiful inheritance—this I will remember. Because of You, I will not be shaken. I feel certain. Heal and strengthen me now, good, good Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

4. Psalm 30

“I will extol you, O LORD, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me. O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.”
(Psalm 30:1-2 ESV)

Prayer:

The enemy will not rejoice over me because of You, Lord. I will not be moved because You protect me. I cry to You for help now. Take this situation, this mourning, and turn it into dancing. My eyes are on You. I give You thanks, Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

5. Psalm 31

“I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul, and you have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place.” (Psalm 31:7-8 ESV)

Prayer:

Today, I choose to rejoice because of Your steadfast love, Father. I’m not ignored—my affliction doesn’t go unnoticed. You are a God who sees. And because You love me, I am not delivered into the hand of my enemy. Praise God! Yes, praise You. So today, I declare just as Psalm 31 does, that my feet have been set in a broad place. You watch over me. You lead me well. Thanks be to You, God Almighty. In Jesus’ name I pray and offer this praise, Amen.

Psalms to Pray for Healing and Deliverance:

6. Psalm 41

“As for me, I said, ‘O LORD, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against you!’” (Psalm 41:4 ESV)

Prayer:
I have sinned, Lord, and I am so sorry. Forgive me. May Your graciousness come upon me, Lord. Only You can truly heal me from my sinful desires, so I ask You now for Your gracious and good hand of healing. Pour out Your spirit on me, Lord. Deliver me from this sin and knit my heart together again. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

7. Psalm 107

“Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction; they loathed any kind of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.” (Psalm 107:17-20 ESV)

Prayer:
Father,

You send out Your word and You heal. When I cry out, You deliver me from my own destruction—from the sin I have embraced. I’m crying to You now, oh Lord. Deliver and heal me like only You can. Take me to that place of security and firm footing that’s found only in Your strength and righteousness. I give You all the praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

8. Psalm 109

Prayer:
Today, I give You thanks, Lord. I praise You as I stand in this storm. I praise You among the crowd. I praise You at all times, for You and You alone have saved me. My soul lives and is not condemned to death because of You, Jesus. Thank You. Amen.

9. Psalm 143

Hear my cry for mercy, Lord. The enemy has pursued me, and I’m tired. But I trust in You and You alone, for You are my deliverer, my God. Lead me in Your righteousness. Deliver me from my enemies I face today for You are my God and my true refuge. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
