Progressive Christianity and Satanic Deception

We are obligated by Scripture to oppose any message that is in opposition to the real gospel revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

2 Corinthians 4:4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

The devil himself, the god of deception, has seriously manipulated our world to be one filled with deception. According to the Bible, he deceives everyone on earth. Things that seem so magnificent are often not as wonderful as they first appear to be, and things that appear to be beneficial to us are not necessarily so.

Progressive Christianity is one modern false gospel that was developed by the master deceiver himself.

Evangelical churches today have been penetrated by a movement known as "progressive Christianity." The essential historical teachings of the genuine Christian faith are redefined, reexamined, and ultimately rejected by this movement.

Progressive Christianity is anchored in the virtual denial of original sin, the substitutionary atonement of Jesus, and the presence of damnation. It also conforms to modern cultural norms about abortion and same-sex marriage.

Progressive Christianity upholds a gospel that prioritizes social justice and universal salvation over atonement for sin and personal salvation. It mimics popular culture, whereas true Christians ought to emulate Jesus by identifying and strongly rejecting the false doctrines of this expanding movement. The progressive Christianity agenda is being spread by the liberal media and has entered numerous churches. And it is dedicated to challenging and weakening the tenets of God's authentic words.

Galatians 1:6-9 "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preaches any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

The authoritative truth of the Bible, which is divinely inspired and permeates every aspect of life, is denied by progressive Christianity.

Origin and Goal of Progressive Christianity

The Progressive Christianity movement started in 2006 with the goal of presenting a Christian lifestyle that was different from how true Christianity was perceived by the general public.

Progressive Christians reject the notion that God despises homosexual sin.

However, in actuality, you need to be cautious of the following:

1. Progressive Christianity does not hold Jesus in high esteem. The way progressive Christians see Jesus Christ is simply one of their defining characteristics. They contend that Jesus is more of a moral model for us to follow than the divine Son of God.  Of course, we emulate Jesus, but progressive Christians emphasize this over recognizing His divinity.

2. Moralism, not salvation, is the primary goal of progressive Christianity According to progressive Christianity, being a good person is the only requirement for living a Christian life. It is a moralistic religion because it emphasizes morality rather than the gospel of salvation.

3. Progressive Christianity minimizes the severity of our sins. Progressive Christianity downplays the concept of sin, and it has no interest in discussing God's wrath against sinners. Their idea is that doing what seems right to you and being kind to your neighbors is all you need as a Christian. Therefore, the death of Jesus on the cross isn't really something that saves you if you actually practice and preach mostly moralism and that there is no real sin.

The Danger and Satanic Deception of Progressive Christianity

The gospel of progressive Christianity is not at all a godly one. The message of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection are unrelated to it, producing chaos and spiritual confusion. Progressive Christianity refutes the authoritative, divinely inspired truth of the Bible, which permeates every aspect of daily life.

The movement focuses on absurd fads such as gender identity, twisting and distorting the reality of God's Word about sexuality. They reject God's differentiation between the sexes and instead create their own flawed standards that are not founded on God's Word. Progressive Christianity frequently overlooks the far more fundamental question of God's justice—how a holy and just God deals with sinful and corrupt men—in favor of focusing on social and racial justice issues, which the Bible addresses.

Progressive Christianity also frequently misses the negative effects of humanity's sinful, depraved state when it comes to the issue of personal sin.

The teaching of the Bible on the precious blood of Christ and the substitutionary, atoning act of his death on the cross is ignored or misrepresented by this movement.

This satanic movement has the power to damn someone to hell.

Combatting Satanic Deception Rooted in Progressive Christianity

1. Uphold the primacy of Scripture. Progressives believe that Scripture is largely human literature with flaws, contradictions, and conflicting theology rather than being completely accurate and divinely inspired. We must align our beliefs about the Bible with what Jesus taught as sincere adherents of His.

When Jesus Christ was tempted by the devil in the wilderness, He invoked the validity of the Bible:

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4

We must cling to Jesus' teaching on what the Bible is if we want to fight firm against progressive Christianity. The Bible is God's exact, infallible, and inspired Word.

2. Proclaim the sanctity of human life and biblical sexuality. A cultural yearning for sexual freedom is primarily to blame for the confusion the world has around sexuality and the dignity of human beings. The same-sex marriage movement is strongly supported by progressive Christianity, but it doesn't end there. We must align our beliefs with what Jesus said about sexuality and the value of human life if we are to be considered his followers.

Let's firmly adhere to Jesus' teachings that sex was intended to be enjoyed within the parameters of biblical marriage and that human life is sacrosanct to oppose progressive Christianity.

As stated in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold tight to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

Jesus also reinforced this definition of marriage in Matthew 19:3-9.

The Christian idea that sex may only be enjoyed within the confines of marriage between one man and one woman is considered antiquated and even hazardous in many progressive circles.

However, Jesus classifies sexual immorality as something that defiles a person in Matthew 15:19-20.

And sexual immorality, as defined by the Scriptures that Jesus upheld, was defined as any sexual behavior that takes place outside of marriage.

Early Christians opposed abortion and infanticide, but today's advocacy for abortion rights is growing more common, and progressive Christians aren't always against the idea.

However, Jesus reaffirms and amplifies the biblical prohibition against murder in Matthew 5:21-22. "Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment. But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. "

Exodus 20:13 "Thou shalt not kill."

We shouldn't be afraid of criticism from the outside world or from progressive Christians who consider skeptics and adherents of the real gospel to be outdated.

"If the world hates you, remember that it hated me before it hated you," Jesus stated in John 15:18

Jesus warned His followers to expect suffering in this life but to be of good cheer since He has already conquered the world (John 16:33).

In Matthew 5:10, Jesus gave additional motivation to faithful believers by saying, "Blessed are those who suffer for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

3. Preach the true Gospel. The teaching of theological progressives fits perfectly with societal standards, and progressive Christianity takes satisfaction in rejecting the ultimate truth. Any unsettling aspects of the gospel are avoided. We must line our beliefs with what Jesus said about the gospel to be his disciples. The Progressives disagree with hell and the last judgment. In contrast, Jesus himself discussed this in his parable about judgment day, when mankind would be divided into good and evil.

Judgment awaits those who reject God's free gift, but those who believe in Him will have eternal life. Matthew 25:41 “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. ”

We are obligated by Scripture to oppose any message that is in opposition to the real gospel revealed in the Holy Scriptures.
