At times, it can feel as though our life is falling apart. Most of us have dealt with this feeling at least once in our lifetimes. If you are currently feeling this way, know that you are not alone. Even as believers, we can feel as though our life is falling apart. Jesus never promised us an easy life, and this is something we need to remember when times get rough. Never did the Lord say that all good things would come our way at the moment we chose to follow Him.
The Lord actually says the opposite. Jesus tells us that we have to pick up our cross and follow Him (Matthew 16:24-26). We will face hard times in this life, and as the Lord says, the world hated Him before it hated us (John 15:18). We all have to live in the world even though we are not part of the world. With this in mind, we must remember that none of us are immune to the effects of sin in the world. Due to sin being in the world, bad things will happen, whether we cause them or not.
When your life feels like it's falling apart, it's good to look to Jesus. The world is full of scary things and bad situations; however, Jesus is always constant. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). The Lord is good, loving, and caring even though the world is not. In the chaos of everyday life, it is important that we turn to Him and remember His goodness.
Here are five reminders when your life feels as though it's falling apart:

1. Jesus Is Always with You
One reminder when you feel your life is falling apart is that Jesus is always with you. This truth is beautifully illustrated for us in Psalm 23. Throughout Psalm 23, David calls the Lord his "Shepherd." A shepherd cares for, protects, and loves his sheep. In the same way, the Lord loves us, cares about us, and protects us. The Lord is always with us, through every hill and valley. No matter what you are facing today, know that Jesus is always with you.
He will never leave you and He will never forsake you (Hebrews 13:5-6). We can feel alone at times, especially when our lives feel like they are falling apart, but we are never alone. Jesus is always with us, and He isn’t going anywhere. He is our Redeemer, our Savior, and our Lord. No one and nothing will ever pluck us out of His hand (John 10:28). He will keep us safely in His hands and bring us to be with Him one day in Heaven.
Allow this to give your heart peace today. It's hard when our life feels like it's falling apart, but we can take joy in knowing that Jesus is always with us. He is our great and powerful Savior, and nothing is too big for Him. Life will bring us troubles, but Jesus will be with us forever. There will never be a day that He is not with us.

2. Jesus Will Never Abandon You
A second reminder when your life feels like it's falling apart is that Jesus will never abandon you. Sadly, many of us have loved ones in our lives who leave us. This is a heartbreaking reality for many. However, despite loved ones leaving us, Jesus never does. He always promises to stay by our side. Whether we are going through hard times or good times, God is always by our side, and He will never leave.
You are God’s precious child, and He loves you. For many of us, our parents abandon us or hurt us, but God will never do this. Even when times get hard, He will never abandon us. Being abandoned is painful and a traumatic experience, and this should not be downplayed. Many individuals can have lasting damage done to their hearts when they are abandoned.
This can make us feel as though everyone will abandon us. As one can imagine, this can contribute to the feeling that one’s life is falling apart. If this is true for you, know that Jesus will never abandon you, and He will pick up your broken pieces. He will restore you and give you life again. Things will be difficult as long as we are living in a sinful world, but we have the promise of a New Heaven and a New Earth (Revelation 21; 2 Peter 3:13).

3. There Is Hope for the Future
A third reminder when your life feels like it's falling apart is that there is hope for the future. When we are going through difficult times and we feel hopeless, it's important to remember that there is hope for the future. Even if things might not get better during our earthly lives, we can look forward to Heaven and later, the New Heaven and New Earth. As mentioned earlier, the New Heaven and New Earth are promised to us, and they will be the home of righteousness.
There will be no crying, pain, or death anymore (Revelation 21:4). This is a beautiful truth that can fill our hearts with hope. When we look at our earthly lives in comparison to eternity, we will see that the former is nowhere as long as the latter. Even if things are hard now, know that there is hope for the future and this hope is found in Christ. By knowing Him as your Savior and Lord, you are blessed with forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life (John 17:3).

4. You Are Loved
A fourth reminder when your life feels like it's falling apart is that you are loved. Unfortunately, many people in our lives can make us feel unloved. The people who are supposed to love us the most often love us the least. If you feel your life is falling apart because of loved ones not truly loving you, know that you are not alone. When a parent, a friend, a sibling, or a partner stops loving us, it can be devastating.
When someone significant in our lives turns their back on us and shuts us out of their lives, it can cause our lives to crumble. It's at these times we need to remember that we are loved by God. The Bible tells us that the Father loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for our sins (John 3:16-17, 15:13). There is no greater love than the love that God has for us. At the times you are feeling alone, depressed, and crestfallen, remind yourself that you are loved by God Himself.

5. The Storm Will Be Met with Calmness
A fifth reminder when your life feels like it's falling apart is that the storm will be met with calmness. We will all go through storms in our lives, but just as physical storms don’t last forever, neither will the storm you are going through. While it's true that storms can cause catastrophic damage, they won't endure forever. Your storm will eventually be met with peace.
When life feels like it's falling apart, it can feel as though the storm will last forever. If you are in the middle of the storm now, know that there is an end. This storm will not persist throughout eternity. Turn to the Lord and trust Him with this storm. He will bring calmness to the storms in your life just as He calmed physical storms during His earthly ministry (Matthew 8:23-27). This storm will end and the Lord will be with you through every step.
