Elizabeth Tabish (Mary Magdalene) and Paras Patel (Matthew) recently opened up about the global impact of The Chosen and the emotional journey of its cast and crew. Speaking about the show’s message, they emphasized how The Chosen continues to bring hope to a broken world, offering light among the darkness through its portrayal of redemption and transformation. Both actors shared that the close-knit, family-like atmosphere behind the scenes has made their performances even more meaningful.

As The Chosen moves deeper into its storytelling, Season 5 carries an even greater emotional weight for the cast. Paras Patel reflected on the filming of the Last Supper scene, describing it as a bittersweet moment filled with sadness and reflection. "This is the first season where you know the end is near," Patel said, comparing it to the feeling of losing a family member as the beloved series approaches its conclusion.

Meanwhile, director and creator Dallas Jenkins announced during a recent livestream that Season 6 will not follow the typical release schedule fans have come to expect. Unlike Seasons 4 and 5, which released in early 2024, Season 6 — depicting the crucifixion of Jesus — has been delayed with no official premiere date set. Jenkins also confirmed that Season 7 will serve as the final chapter of the series, marking the end of an era for the groundbreaking show.
