Group Of Marines Sing 'Days Of Elijah' - Staff Picks

Published Sep 15, 2020

A group of Marines worship the Lord with a rousing rendition of ‘Days Of Elijah.’ Just listen as they join their voices to give praise to His Name.

“These are the days of Elijah,
Declaring the word of the Lord
And these are the days of Your servant Moses,
Righteousness being restored.”

Robin Mark penned the words of ‘Days Of Elijah’ in 1994. On his website, Robin speaks about the inspiration behind the powerful lyrics. “How do you express the sense that these might be days, not of failure and submission, but of the sort of resilient, declaring, even arrogant trust and hope that Elijah had in his God? That these are not days of God stepping back and allowing the world and the church to roll uncontrolled towards eternity, but rather days when he is calling on his body to make a stand, to offer right praises and to declare that He is totally in control. Well, I reckon you may write the words "These are the days of Elijah" and "These are the days of David".”

“Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call,
Lift your voice, it's the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes.”

Many people all over the world have lifted their voices along with this powerful worship song, but nothing is quite as moving as watching these Marines. What a blessing to hear our troops praise Jesus. God bless all of our military men and women!
