Kirk Cameron Introduces and Discusses New Faith-Based Children’s Show ‘Iggy and Mr. Kirk’ from Godtube Movie News on GodTube.

Hollywood does not typically welcome or celebrate Christian values. Instead, many popular television shows and movies promote thoughts, ideas, and values that are diametrically opposed to what Christians think and believe. Often, the ideas found in today’s popular, mainstream culture are downright hostile to Christianity.

Sadly,  some of these ideas have started to trickle into and are being pushed by many children’s programs. Kirk, looking to counter that growing hostility to Christian values in children’s entertainment, created the faith-based children’s series “Iggy and Mr. Kirk.”

Kirk described the show and what kids and families can expect from the new series in the interview.

“It’s almost like we got to go back in time to shows from a long time ago,” he said. “Well, that’s essentially what we’re trying to do with a beautiful new show called “Iggy and Mr. Kirk.” It entertains kids. It ignites their imagination while building their character and their faith.”

Kirk goes on to describe the show as “Mr. Rogers meets Sesame Street, only it’s faith-filled” and “Bible-friendly, and instead of Kermit the Frog, we have Iggy the Iguana.”

The “Growing Pains” actor mentioned why a program like “Iggy and Kirk” is desperately needed today.

“It couldn’t be coming at a better time,” he said. “We want things that are going to encourage our kids and teach them wisdom and build their character but what TV shows do that? I mean, we used to be able to trust Disney shows. But today, we have just about everything so polluted and infiltrated with all of this woke ideology, and all of this, everything from DEI to the purple-hair platoon to everything else and the Alphabet Army infiltrating the values that are being taught to our kids.”

Kirk adds that the series touches on several very important topics that don’t get much attention in many children’s programming, including forgiveness, self-control, teamwork, the importance of family, and telling the truth even when it may cost you something.

“Iggy and Mr. Kirk” premieres on March 27, 2025, on Brave+. For more information on the program, click here.
