Navy Veteran's Impressive Cover of Bob Dylan Classic on The Voice

Mark Shiiba, a navy veteran’s impressive cover of Bob Dylan classic on The Voice will have you spinning in your seats. From the moment he stepped on the stage Mark captivated the audience with his acoustic guitar and harmonica. He brought a soulful and heartfelt reindtion to this folk classic.

As he sang, his raspy voice captured the hearts of the audience but the judges didn’t turn their chairs. By the end of the performance, he had felt let down. His one shot at becoming a star seemed to be over. But Mark took it gracefully as the judges spoke with him.

Gwen loved his voice and said she didn’t want him to be disappointed. “I have to say I was so on the fence the entire time. Your voice is such a character voice, which is what we love.”

However, Michael had a few things to say that made the audience applaud. “We all want to thank you for your service,” he said.  He continued to tell Mark about his favorite singers of all time. The list included performers like Louis Prima and Louie Armstrong. But then Michael does something no one expects. He goes on to explain that on this particular season of The Voice, they have “Coach Replay.” This meant that even though he hadn’t turned his chair in the beginning, he now had the opportunity to hit the button and offer Mark a chance to be a part of his team.

The judges, audience, and Mark were stunned and excited from the second Michael hit the button. Can you imagine? Just when Mark thought he would be thankful just for the opportunity to perform for the blind auditions, he found himself on Michael’s team for the show, what a dream come true! With Michael’s coaching and Mark’s unique voice, his journey on the show is just beginning!

Psalm 28:7 "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him."
